" Welcome to the electronic learning management system of the Institute of Legal Practice and Development. Although the institute was legal established by an Act of Parliament ,the officially opening and start of operations was on the 12th,May, 2008 when the  Right Honourable Prime Minister Bernard MAKUZA officially  laid the foundation stone for the construction of combined administrative and teaching block close to existing structure.
The establishment of the ILPD is a part of the  reforms in the justice sector aimed at strengthening the rule of law by ensuring the delivery of justice in an efficient,effective,ethical,fair and professional manner. In partical the ILPD contributes to this goal by providing pratical legal training for the whole justice sector."
About the system
 

The electronic learning management system (ELMS) is used to automate both the academic administration process and learning activities, in classroom and online.
It is used to manage course schedules (online and residential), admissions, classrooms, instructors, study assignments, group projects, and academic performance statistics.

What the system contains
 

The system contains information about the academic programmes offered by ILPD. It provides details on the modules of the diploma programmes as well as those of the continuing legal education programme.
Also available are materials for student and faculty use ranging from course notes to reference texts. 

It also contains an easy to use  registration component that allows students to apply online, a component to allow ILPD to review and approve prospective students, a component to allow lecturers and trainers to post student training material ,  a library  catalogue to allow existing students to reserve books from the libray and the librarian to store accurate information on borrowers.

How to use the System
 

To effectively use the system, prospective students are required to register by following the log -in  steps to fill in their details. 

Staff  and other authorized users are also required to log into the system in order to access their accounts and perform tasks they are authorized to undertake.
